Cool drink for a hot summer day
Lemonade! Mom’s recipe that goes waaayy back many years.
Juice your lemons, save the rinds. Here’s the recipe and mixture proportions:
Make a sugar/water syrup with 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, rind from 2 lemons. Bring to a boil, boil for 7 minutes. Cool.
Mix 1 cup lemon juice (fresh squeezed only!) with 4 cups water and 1 cup of cooled lemoney sugar water syrup. Pour over ice in a tall glass, sip and enjoy!
Brian made some today. It turned out really good.
