Damn!

AAAAARRRGGHHHHH! USA Lost! Damn! they lost the USA-hosted World Cup of Softball 3-1!!!

Ok so I sorta wonder about the Olympics and softball being dropped… rumor has it the US was too dominant…

Ok so maybe I’m just trying to console myself ) Japan played a really good game. They had a great pitcher and team USA had to face the facts that there was competition out there. I sure wish they’d won… but in any case… it was a great game. Cat did good!!!!

Testing email notification

Just installed this so I’m testing to see if it really works.

Theme Switcher

I have added the Theme Switcher plug-in, so now you can choose which theme (a.k.a. skin) you want to view the journal in. It’s pretty cool. It also forced me to weed out the themes that weren’t working. I also tried to make all the themes look similar, like adding the header tags to the weather report. I’ll probably be finding things here and there that need fixing for the next few weeks. I’d like to locate some holiday themes too. Haven’t found those yet.

Ok just one more Cat URL. I found this in Wikipedia:

Osterman nabs pair of ESPY Awards

So this year she won! Twice! YAY!!!

Cat was also named Big 12 female athlete of the year. So it was a good day for Cat and her family. )

World Cup of Softball starts tonight. I called Susan, and I guess so far they’re not winning but Cat isn’t pitching either. Let’s see how long I stay awake. 5:30 comes around awfully fast when I stay up past 10!

Graduation Pictures

So here’s the “official” pictures of my graduation. I ordered a few of ‘em so I guess I’ll have to mail them out to my whole family when they get here. Let’s see if they’ll post here…

Graduation Speech Diploma time! Smile :)

If this don’t work, I’ll have to edit the post. They’re so small, I can’t really tell if they’re good shots. That’s why I only ordered a few. Anyway…

It’s been so darn warm here lately, my a/c is running 24/7. Brian twisted his ankle again and we went in for an x-ray this time. Nothing broke but they sent him home with an air cast to keep his ankle up straight. Work is going good, frustrating at times because I don’t know all the things I need to and all the people who can help me and all the right words to communicate what I’m trying to say. But given time, I’ll catch on. I just hope they will want to keep me on in some capacity. I love working there. Great atmosphere, like family. And the activity center! I’ve been swimming a lot since I started there, and that’s very good for my joints.

So enough of this post already, I have to get my shoes off and get comfy and relax.

Another Sunny Sunday

Sunny and warm is supposed to be the weather today. Ok, HOT, not warm. I guess we’ll get up to 91+ today. Good day for a/c.

I’m going to move into this blog because it requires a lot less maintenance than Greymatter does. It’s easy to use, does everything I want it to do, and plays nice with my stats script. So… from here on out, I’ll be posting here.

I like the themes. They’re pretty nice, and come in a huge variety of styles/appearances. I might have to enable registering to post comments, if I wind up with a lot of spam comments. We’ll see. I might also configure it to email folks when there’s a new post, with a subscription field and stuff. This blog also has RSS capabilities. So for all you RSS readers out there, you can subscribe to my blog! )

Oh, yeah, it does smileys too. I just have to learn what the correct typing is to make ‘em come up.

Heather’s coming out for dinner tonight. We’ll go shopping and find something really yummy to cook. Should be a nice Sunday! D

Gotta go… get the day started.

Testing Post by Email

I wonder how this works. Posts by Email, eh?

I will test it… but wonder how the blog knows an email has been sent?
