It’s Friday
Another weekend coming up. I sent out another round of resumes on Monday. Haven’t heard a word yet. Not even a whisper. heh I’ll get myself to JobNet again today and see if anything new has come up.
Spent some of the day at Susan’s yesterday. Nice change of pace. Her computer has been acting up so much lately that she wanted to try to reformat it or something. I suggested running the utilities first, then if that didn’t work, reinstall windows before reformatting. That’s a lot less work. So as of last night, she had reinstalled Windows, and it was up and running again. Not sure how much other work there will be left, so I’ll just hang around here by the phone today.
Weird dreams lately. Last night I dreamed about living in a place with big sunny windows, and I had put ziggy in one of the windows to catch some sunlight. I also had a talking dog. Yes, a talking dog! Then I was walking around outdoors, in a neighborhood much like the Edward St. neighborhood I grew up in. Lots of trees and stuff. I was carrying a small baby, who also talked! Not baby talk, full words and sentences. It started to rain and thunder, so we headed back home, which was still in Rountree Hall, but the place with the big windows and windowsills. Yep, weird.
It’s been cold at night, like in the 30’s. My hands and nose get cold. I plugged in the electric mattress pad, which helps a lot between the hot flashes… but is torturous during them. I figured cooler weather would make me more comfortable. I guess it does, except when I’m sweating. Looks like we’ll return to summer weather now, with temperatures expected to be in the 70’s and maybe even lower 80’s over the weekend. That will be nice. I lilke leaving my windows open and listening to the sounds down below.
Life is a rock… but the radio rolled me. Gotta turn it up louder, so my D.J. told me! (Remember that song?)
