Out and about today
Got my van back yesterday. It runs good, but burns oil and has a tick in the top of the motor. I’m concerned that oil isn’t getting up there. Time will tell. I have to drive it for a bit before deciding whether or not this motor is gonna be ok.
Drove out to Madison today to visit with Heather for a bit. We went to the mall, then over to this really cool store behind the mall. It’s called “Cost Plus” and there are so many cool things in there, even food! Lots of ethnic foods. I got some garlic-chili sauce. I’d like to go back there again some day. Maybe a good place for Christmas shopping.
On the job front: haven’t heard back from API yet. But while I was gone today, Avista called for an interview. I’ve been trying to get an interview there since before I graduated. Got 2 official “Sorry” letters, and gave up on them. I guess now they have some openings, so they called me. I’m happy 
I like this area and would love to stay here, but Avista is about the only place in town for programmers. I hope this turns into a job offer. I’ll interview with them on Nov. 8. A couple weeks down the road, but if they hire me it would be worth the wait. Carefully crossing fingers!
I have to think about dinner now. Laterz…
