Profound Revelations

Here’s a picture of the flowers, balloon, stuffed cute soft fluffy teddy bear, and candy that Heather and Brian sent to me at work today. :lol:

The flowers are in the shape of a birthday cake! Came complete with candles. Totally awesome! Thanks Heather and Brian!

I sorta stopped celebrating my birthday when I became a mom. I’d rather see my kids have a great birthday than myself. Besides, I wasn’t interested in keeping track of how many years I’ve added to my age. hehehe … In the past years, I didn’t expect much. Altho Heather always comes up with some really great gift. She’s so thoughtful! But my brothers/sisters and I stopped exchanging gifts years ago. That’s why I was so surprised to get a gift from them this year.

Heather conspired with them! She knows how badly I want a couple cats. She also knows I have to come up with a healthy “pet” security deposit, which I have only mananged to save almost half of. So she emailed Laura, Liz, Michelle, Neil, Susan, whoever else I don’t know. They all pitched in a few bucks, and between their gifts, and Heather and Brian’s gifts, I now have the security deposit! They’re all for adopting cats from the shelter. So this week I will start visiting the shelter, getting to know the cats there. Heather has already found 2 at the Dane County shelter she says are real sweet cats. I’m just so excited, I can finally get my kitties! I wish I could have ‘em both right now! It will be worthwhile to take time tho, get to know them before I decide which kitties I want to adopt.

So all in all, I have had a very happy, surprising birthday this year. Thanks to my brothers and sisters, and my kids! I’m really tired now, so gonna hit the sack. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzgnite…………..
