You may think you are having Profound Revelations; only to discover later they were none too profound.

Happy New Year!

I’m looking forward to a brighter, more productive year in 2007.  I’m getting better at the job every day, and soon I’ll make my 1-year anniversary.  Boy, that sure feels good!

Heather is in Ireland right now.  A friend of hers invited her to spend time with him while on vacation.  He just got done with 2 tours in Iraq, and is taking a long (and probably much-needed!) break.  So they bought another air ticket, and off she went.  Well, it was a bit more in the planning of things…  Anyway — She’s gone.  Brian is off in Platteville celebrating the holidays with his buddies.  I bet he’s having a great time.  So he’s gone too.  S’ok though.  I am totally enjoying the quiet time; cleaning my apartment room-by-room.

So another year has gone by.  And I’m still blogging.  I remember my first “online journal” was a simple guest book script.  Don’t know if blogging was a term being used back then.  This time last year, I was packing up last minute items, watching the students party in their yards outside, feeling all jittery and nervous about this new life I was about to step into.  I was alone then too.  Weird though, because this year is the first time in a long time that I do not feel apprehensive about the future.  I think I took the right steps, and am in a good place now.

This is a For Better or For Worse comic strip (12/31/06) which I think is perfect to end this post, and wish everyone a great 2007.

Count your blessings.

So, Happy New Year to ALL!
